At the heart
of my art practice is the word, contemplative. I am given to long
serious thought about the essence and identity of beauty. Whether
I sense some essential parts of beauty in people or within myself
(a ring of truth-a humble soul), I find its spirit in the world
around me. Then in whatever piece I am working on I believe these
fundamental qualities of beauty reflect a quiet stillness, or
an unrest, and that is what I hope to communicate to my audience
