This will be an opportunity for beginning beaders as well as more experienced ones to make a Strawberry Beaded Pin. The workshop will include detailed instructions and all supplies needed to complete a pin. It may not be completed during the workshop, but it will be well started.

Jessie Jannuska
Jessie Jannuska is a Winnipeg-based multi-disciplinary Indigenous artist and art workshop facilitator. She is mixed Dakota, Ojibway and settler, and is a band member of Canupawakpa Dakota Nation. She graduated with a BFA with honours from Brandon University in 2018. Jannuska works in mixed media, beadwork, comics, acrylic and murals.
About Seven Teachings Art Collective
MAWA is partnering with the Seven Teachings Art Collective to create knowledge-sharing opportunities for young Indigenous Winnipeggers. Throughout the spring, Seven Teachings will be presenting workshops at Pitikwé Skatepark, online, and at MAWA. These events are for Indigenous young people 18 and older.
