Indigenous Feminisms - Bring an artwork to share

  • Thursday, October 18, 2018
  • 7:00pm – 9:00pm
  • MAWA Apartment - 2nd Floor 611 Main Street, Enter through the Edge Gallery

For this month’s meeting, we will be doing a sharing circle to share your artwork, something you’re working on, or your passion that you’d like to share with the group and have an open conversation. We will first meet in the Edge Gallery next door from the MAWA space then go as a group to the MAWA apartment. For more information, please contact: [email protected]

Indigenous Feminisms endeavours to be a space for dialogue related to Indigenous feminism, traditional knowledge and how it connects to Indigenous artistic practices. Be a part of an ongoing conversation! Activities include readings, gallery-going, critique, collaborative art projects, interventions and activism and are determined with input from participants.

For next month’s meeting, we will be doing a group activity, more details to come.

Free! All woman-identified and two spirit Indigenous people (First Nations, Inuit, Metis) welcome!
