Stitchen’ Saturdays - Embroidery Workshop

Stitchen’ Saturdays is a new, youth group for needle-craft enthusiasts, featuring instruction and social/making time for people of all genders, 14-30 years of age. Led by MAWA Student Intern Lasha Mackedenski, it is an online, creative space for learning and hanging. Need materials? A limited number of supplies are available at MAWA, Wed-Fri. 10-4. Call 204-949-9490 to arrange curbside pick-up.

January 16: Embroidery Workshop

Learn hand embroidery basics and a variety of stitches that can be adapted and personalized for your own projects.

Materials Needed:

  • Embroidery thread (also known as embroidery floss)
  • Fabric (heavier weight is recommended for folks without an embroidery hoop)
  • Needle
  • Scissors
  • Optional: embroidery hoop
