Stitchen’ Saturdays is a new, youth group for needle-craft enthusiasts, featuring instruction and social/making time for people of all genders, 14-30 years of age. Led by MAWA Student Intern Lasha Mackedenski, it is an online, creative space for learning and hanging. Need materials? A limited number of supplies are available at MAWA, Wed-Fri. 10-4. Call 204-949-9490 to arrange curbside pick-up.

March 6: Hand Quilting Workshop

Learn how to use embroidery techniques to quilt big and small projects.

Materials Needed:

  • Embroidery thread/floss
  • Fabric (quilting cotton recommended)
  • Quilt Batting (the insulating layer of a quilt)
  • Scissors
  • Needle with large eye
  • Safety pins
  • Optional: embroidery hoop and thimble
