MAWA’s doors will be open from 11am – 4pm for you to peruse the plethora of artworks up for auction, get a jump start on bidding, and even take a private tour of the show with art aficionado Elise Dawson.
Are you overwhelmed by what is arguably the biggest group show in Winnipeg? Do you want to get a jump on the Sunday bidding crowd? Join her for a guided walk-through and learn about MAWA and the artists it serves. Dawson will introduce you to the bidding process and answer your questions about building an art collection. Tours are available by appointment, please call (204) 998-9800 and early-bird bidding begins Friday evening, March 13.

Elise Dawson is an artist and arts administrator from Winnipeg, Manitoba. She graduated from the School of Fine Art at the University of Manitoba in 2012 before beginning her career in galleries. Last year, Dawson completed an artist residency in Puebla, Mexico and is a 2017-2018 graduate of the Cartae Open School. She recently published her first collection of poetry, SEX DEATH AND, and has a forthcoming exhibition in Winnipeg in December.
