Explore Desire Change: Contemporary Feminist Art in Canada, the first book about feminist visual art in Canada, co-published by MAWA and McGill-Queen’s University Press, at a monthly reading group. Each session, participants delve into a chapter with facilitator, Helga Jakobson.

In advance of the January meeting, read Chapter 11, “From Mentorship to Collaboration: Art, Feminism, and Community in Winnipeg" by Noni Brynjolson

Helga Jakobson received an MFA from AKV St. Joost (The Netherlands) in conjunction with courses in the Transdisciplinary New Media program at the Paris College of Art (France). Jakobson has participated in residencies across Canada and Europe and has given lectures across Europe, Colombia and Canada.
