Diorama Sketch Night

  • Friday, January 3, 2020
  • 7:00pm – 9:00pm
  • Manitoba Museum, 190 Rupert Ave

Presented in partnership with the Manitoba Museum

Come sketch a vast array of nature and culture, all conveniently located under one roof. The Manitoba Museum offers everything from mammalian specimens to dinosaur skeletons, and sailing ships to rocket ships.

Diorama Sketch Night will include a brief introduction to the museum and its many diorama installations. This will be followed by unguided time to sketch, reflect on and interpret the collection, concluding with time to share and discuss your work. Admission also includes access to additional First Friday programming at the Museum!

Limited drawing materials are available for use, although you are encouraged to bring your own pencils, sketchbook and hard-backed board. Please note that out of care and respect for the artifacts, only pencil can be used in the exhibitions; photography/filming/sketching must be done outside of the security barriers; and photos may be used for personal purposes only.

$12 general admission; $10 seniors; all genders welcome. To pre-purchase go to https://tickets.manitobamuseum.ca/default.aspx and select Admission: Museum Galleries for Jan. 3 2020 or buy them at the door
