Mandated equality? Genderless society? Compensation for “women’s work”? What could a feminist future look like? Please join MAWA at Feminist Futures, a members’ exhibit featuring artwork by over 80 participating MAWA members!
Feminist Futures will open on the First Friday in September and grace MAWA’s wall until Nuit Blanche at the end of the month. This is also an opportunity to take a feminist future home! Members are invited to sell their work, with all proceeds going to the artist. Cheques and cash only. Prices will be posted.
This event is in conjunction with the Book Launch of "Desire Change: Contemporary Feminist Art in Canada",edited by Dr. Heather Davis and project managed by Nicole Burisch, both of whom will be in attendance.
Artists must be MAWA members. Please fill out an artist contract (available here) and drop it off with your work on August 25 or 26.
