This workshop is beginner-friendly for those who would like to begin beading or working with leather. You will learn how to cut, bead and sew on leather. Create your own keychain! Everyone is welcome and no experience is required.

$10 materials fee. All welcome! Spaces are limited (24)

About Ryleigh Todd-Moore

Ryleigh Todd-Moore (they/them), also known as Littlest Kookum Beading, is an artist from Kinosao Sipi (Norway House Cree Nation) in Northern Manitoba. Their art includes beadwork, painting and sewing. They have a sustainable practice of using upcycled fabrics and materials.

About the Cross-Cultural Beading Circle

Everyone is invited to learn in a welcoming atmosphere. No experience necessary. Novice and experienced beaders of all cultures, ages and genders are welcome. Sessions feature a guest beader, who will share their history with beading and their techniques. A materials kit (incl. beads, thread, cloth and leather) will be available.

Each instructor will offer their workshop twice, to create opportunity for more participants (do not enroll in both sessions of the same workshop). If you register and find you cannot attend, please cancel with ample lead time so folks on the waiting list can participate.
