Sheila Cailleau
In this workshop, learn how to understand the grain direction and stretch of hide, trace and cut leather and sheep shearling and fur, clip it together and sew a pair of amazing mitts. To customize them, we will burn a small image on the thumb.
Sheila Cailleau is the founder and owner of Magpie Chiq. She is a leather artist with a strong appreciation for the history of trapping, trading and all aspects of nature and land-based teaching, which influence her art. She creates her products with a balance of fashion and function, making the world a happy place one stitch at a time.
