Leslie Supnet will discuss the art, politics and practice of contemporary found footage cinema production. By using spatial and temporal moving image collage, found footage artists weave complex layers of meaning and memory while exploring an array of formal, material and political concerns. This talk will highlight artists’ works that creatively recombine the archive in unexpected, delightful and moving ways.
