- MAWA, 611 Main Street
Presented in partnership with Creative Manitoba
Learn how to leverage social media platforms to build your audience and support your art practice. This workshop will cover the basics of using social media. We will discuss how to work with the intricacies of algorithms, how to run advertisements through Facebook and Instagram, how to reach your niche market using hashtags, and much more. In addition, we will chat about the importance of providing your viewers with top-notch content and engaging storytelling. While everyone has a different relationship with social media, you can focus on which strategies and platforms will be best for you and your art practice. Please bring along your cell phone or tablet for this active workshop.
Due to an exciting opportunity Jen Doerksen, who was originally scheduled to teach this workshop, is no longer able to do so. A huge thanks to Cori Jaye Elston for stepping in to share her expertise.
$10 for members of MAWA or Creative Manitoba; $20 for non-members. No need to register, just show up! People of all genders welcome!
