They remember the sweat and the voices of those people who laboured in this place.
They remember the changing of the seasons.
They remember the times of solitude and quiet, the times of warmth and cold.
They remember the way it used to be.

Cheryl lives in rural southwestern Manitoba. She is exploring and enjoying several printmaking processes.
Cheryl's printmaking is a way for her to explore elements of the natural world and their resistance to various pressures from contemporary culture and human settlement. She is tapping in to imagery that comes from a renewed interest in the abandoned work shop at the family farm. Connections can be made between the persistence of the barn swallows that nest there year after year and the toil of several generations of family members.
