Pamela Norrish (Calgary)

Calgary-based artist Pamela Norrish arrived at MAWA July 4th for her one-month artist residency. Pamela works in contemporary beading, creating surprising beaded objects. She is working on a project while staying in MAWA’s urban loft-style apartment. Pamela will give an artist talk and share the work she has completed during the residency on Wednesday July 27th at 5:30pm.

  • Pamela Norrish obtained a BFA in Drawing from the Alberta College of Art + Design in 2009. As a part of her degree she spent one semester at the Ontario College of Art & Design and, in addition, was awarded one semester at the New York Studio Program in New York City. Since graduation she has participated in a Banff Centre Thematic Residency, The Wanderer, and an emerging artist residency at the Ledge Gallery in Calgary. She lives and works in Calgary.
