Little Deaths: An exhibition of new work by mentees in MAWA’s Foundation Mentorship Program; at aceartinc., 290 McDermot Ave. Opening: Friday, December 5, 2014, 7pm, continues until January 16, 2015

Little Deaths: Memory, mortality, transformation, reiteration, remediation, transience degeneration, loss. A new group exhibition explores these subjects; the result of an intensive year-long experience of talking about and making artwork as part of MAWA’s Foundation Mentorship Program (FMP). The FMP is the cornerstone of programming for Mentoring Artists for Women’s Art, which paired these emerging artists with established artists in the community for one-on-one and group mentorship experiences.

Charlene Brown, Helga Jakobson, Devon Kerslake, Alexis Kinloch, Jen Loewen, Mandy Malazdrewich, and Monica Mercedes Martinez will stage their exhibition at aceartinc. from December 5, 2014 to January 17, 2015.
