Social media is an important tool for today’s artists. This workshop will explore tips and tricks for the modern maker to get your work to a receptive audience online. It will also look at the peculiarities of the virtual world, and important things to consider.

All are welcome to attend this free online workshop, designed to help you advance your art career. Within a couple of weeks of broadcast, the workshop will be available with captioning at mawa.ca/videos/professional-advice.

    Jake (Jacqueline) Freeman (she/her) is a Michif artist who was raised in Treaty 1 territory and is now living in Nex̱wlélex̱m (Bowen Island, BC). She is primarily self-taught and works with many media: paint, beads, leather, caribou hair, feathers, birchbark, quills and metals, to name a few.
